My name is Ihor Balaban and I'm a freelance photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio and the surrounding area. I was born in Ternopil, Ukraine in 1989 and moved to the US when I was a small child. I grew up in Michigan and I graduated in 2011 from the Universtiy of Detroit - Mercy with a B.A. in Business Adminstration (Marketing & Managment) and a minor in Communications. I moved to Cleveland in the late summer of 2011 and currently work in Real Estate as well as doing photography on the side. I shoot anything and everything. From a short walk in the park, to an all day road trip across the entire state. I have photographed concerts, events, parties, races/marathons, festivals, models, cars, landscapes, animals, sports, and much more.

 

Notable Shoots:-Battle Creek Field of Flight Balloon Championship & Air Show. (1 year as a contributing photographer, 3 years as the head photographer) -Cupids Undie Rum-Various Color Runs-Cleveland & Columbus Marathons-Rock & Roll Half Marathon-Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic-UDM Club Hockey & other sports.-Contributing photographer for the Cleveland Metroparks- Various bands including - Every Avenue, Ryan Star, EVE6, Forever the Sickest Kids, Safetysuit, A Rocket to the Moon, Honeyhoney, Paradise Fears, GoRadio, Story of the Year, See-I, and more.

 

My other hobbies include music (self taught on Saxophone, Guitar, Piano, Drums/Percussion/Mallets, Bass, and a few other instruments), cars, architecture, reading, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and pretty much anything involving the outdoors.
